Styles Ink

I think this card is missing something…like a greeting. In it’s current form, there isn’t really room to put anything else without crowding. I think I might re-make this card with the patterned paper square a little smaller so I can fit in a greeting.

Suggestions welcome!

So, what went wrong here…

1) The Happy and Birthday should have been lined up with the top two brads 2) Using two ginghams was probably not a good idea

I like the colours though…and the bird…I LOVE that bird.

In case it’s not clear, the outside of the card says: “Two teas and a rod”.

Inside, the card says: “To my dear friend, who is almost as punny as me. Happy Birthday!”

Cardstock: Bazzill Designer Papers: Basic Grey Gypsy , Basic Grey Lily Kate Stamp: Stampin’ Up Bird from the Always set Ink: Cat’s Eye chalk ink – Lime Pastel Embellishments: Acrylic thingies that a friend picked up at Michael’s.

Both the bird and the heart are mounted on 1/8″ thick foam squares.

I really like making baby cards so this was a particularly fun challenge. I think the proportions are just slightly off, but overall, I’m pretty happy with this card.

I’m really pleased with this card, I don’t think you can go wrong with this beautiful bird stamp. I am however, really looking forward to receiving this…for obvious reasons.
